Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Alessandra Lacroix collects when you visit our website or place an order, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal shorthand. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@alessandralacroix.com and we will explain it.
Alessandra Lacroix is operated by Milo Mochi Co., LLC. Where this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it means that company. Where it says "you", it means anyone who visits our website, contacts us, or buys from us.
This store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the platform we sell through.
1. What we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Contact details. Your name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address.
- Order information. What you bought, when, the amount paid, and the status of your order, return or refund.
- Payment information. Your payment is processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last few digits and card type, but we never receive or store your full card number.
- Messages you send us. Anything you write in an email, a contact form or a return request, including photos you attach.
- Account details. If you create an account, your login details and saved preferences.
- Device and usage information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, what you add to your cart, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technology.
- Marketing preferences. Whether you signed up to our newsletter, and whether you have unsubscribed.
2. Where it comes from
- Directly from you, when you order, create an account, sign up to our newsletter or contact us.
- Automatically from your device when you browse the site.
- From the service providers we use to run the store, such as Shopify, our payment providers and our shipping carriers.
3. Why we use it
- To fulfil your order. Taking payment, packing and shipping, sending you tracking, and handling returns, exchanges and refunds.
- To support you. Answering your emails, checking on a delivery, and resolving problems.
- To run and improve the store. Understanding which pages and products people look at, so we can fix what is not working.
- To prevent fraud. Checking orders and payments that look suspicious, and keeping accounts secure.
- To market to you, if you asked us to. Sending newsletters and offers by email, which you can stop at any time.
- To meet our legal obligations. Keeping tax and transaction records, and responding to lawful requests.
4. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for two things.
Essential cookies. These make the site work. They remember what is in your cart, keep you logged in, and keep checkout secure. The site cannot function without them.
Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited and where visitors come from. This tells us what to improve. Google processes this data on our behalf and you can read Google's own privacy information at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google is the only third party analytics or advertising tool this store runs. We do not use a Meta pixel, TikTok pixel, or any other advertising tracker. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated to name the new tool before it goes live.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site including the cart and checkout will stop working.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the store, and only with what they need:
- Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders.
- Payment providers, to take payment and to check for fraud.
- Our warehouse and shipping carriers, who need your name and delivery address to get the parcel to you.
- Email and support tools, so we can reply to you and send order updates.
- Google Analytics, as described above.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a sale or restructuring of the business.
6. Where your information goes
Our warehouse is in China and our service providers operate in several countries, so your name and delivery address are transferred outside the United States in order to ship your order. We share the minimum needed to get your parcel to you, and we require our providers to protect it.
7. How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and warranty purposes, which is generally seven years. Support emails are kept while they are useful for resolving your issue and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google's own retention settings.
8. Your choices and your rights
- Marketing. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You will still get transactional emails about orders you have placed.
- Access. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. You can ask us to fix anything that is wrong.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete your information, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
- Cookies. You can control cookies through your browser.
To exercise any of these, email info@alessandralacroix.com. We may need to verify who you are before we act on the request, and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently for asking.
9. If you live in California
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and why, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising. To make a request, email us at the address above. You can also appoint an authorised agent to make a request for you, and we will ask for proof of that authority.
10. Security
Payments are encrypted and handled by our payment providers, and the site runs over a secure connection. No system is completely secure, so please keep your account password to yourself and avoid sending sensitive information to us by email.
11. Children
This store is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as our social media profiles. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so it is worth reading their own privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change or the law requires. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant we will make that clear on the site.
14. How to reach us
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy can go to info@alessandralacroix.com or through our contact page.
