Payment policy

This page explains how you can pay at Alessandra Lacroix, when you are charged, and what else may be added to your order so there are no surprises later.

All prices on this website are in US dollars.

When you are charged

Your payment is taken when you place your order, not when it ships. If we cannot fulfil your order for any reason we refund you in full.

Payment security

Payments are handled by secure, encrypted payment providers. Your card details are processed directly by them and are never stored on our systems, so we never see your full card number.

Sales tax

Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery state. You will see the exact amount before you confirm your order. We do not quote a rate here because it varies by state.

Import duty and customs charges

Your order ships to you from our warehouse in Guangdong, China. Because the parcel enters the United States from abroad, the carrier may collect an import duty or customs charge from you before delivery. That charge is set by US customs, it is not something we add, and it is paid by the customer.

We tell you this here, before you buy, so you can factor it in. It is the same information you will find in our Shipping policy and our FAQ, and the wording is deliberately identical in all three places.

What is not added

Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum spend. There are no handling fees, no service charges and no surcharges. Apart from the sales tax shown at checkout and any customs charge described above, the price you see is the price you pay.

Optional insured shipping

Insured shipping is an optional extra you can add at checkout. If you choose it, the fee for it is not refundable if you later return your order.

If a payment is declined

If your payment does not go through, your order is not placed. This is usually your bank rather than us, so it is worth checking with them first, or trying a different payment method. Contact us if you are stuck and we will help.

Refunds

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method you used at checkout. Full details, including the restocking fee and timings, are in our Return and refund policy.
